Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is hiring full-time Pick-up and Delivery Drivers who operate safely and legally, loading and unloading freight and ensuring on-time, damage-free delivery.

You will maintain DOT-compliant records and customer relations across multi-regional routes. Requirements include a CDL-A with HazMat endorsements, at least one year of driving experience, DOT drug screen, and a clean background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21 years or older required.
• Class A Interstate Commercial Drivers' License with hazardous materials and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Flexible Hours.
• Ability to be certified as a forklift operator.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock as required.
• Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts and tally sheets.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers and operate landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
