Sun Loan Company, a trusted financial resource for over 30 years, seeks a Loan Specialist to support the branch manager by ensuring compliant loan processing and efficient office administration.

You will accurately process loan applications, assemble and verify documents, handle paperwork to maintain regulatory compliance, and help manage payments, extensions, and customer communications to protect the office's profitability and productivity.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience in any field.
• 6 months collections experience, a plus.
• High School/GED preferred.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative approach.
• Excels in building and maintaining customer relationships with strong communication and sales skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in basic math and able to perform calculations.

Responsibilities

• Persuade customers to pay due amounts or arrange payment by phone or mail.
• Close loans by explaining all requirements.
• Make collection calls on overdue accounts.
• Locate past-due customers using location services.
• Ensure timely processing of applications and review pending items.
• Grow account value by selling loans to customers and referrals.
• Sell ancillary products where applicable.
• Maintain loan documents per guidelines.
• Prepare copies of financial and legal documents.
• Enter payments into loan management software.
• Maintain accurate notes on accounts including extensions.
