Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in New York is seeking a Loader to support customer service and unit loading. You will assist customers, load merchandise into vehicles, stage orders, and help with Pro/Garden Center operations while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

The role emphasizes teamwork, on-site presence, and daily interaction with customers and staff. Prior basic computer/retail tech experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with locating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise while responding promptly to customers and associate questions
• Supports checkout, fulfillment, and customer assistance needs throughout the store
• Pulls, stages, and prepares customer and contractor orders accurately and efficiently
• Use power equipment and store technology safely and effectively to move, stage, and load merchandise
• Maintains in-stock conditions by down stocking and replenishing merchandise as needed
• Supports large order fulfillment while maintaining product quality and accuracy
• Collect carts and help maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas inside the store and parking lot
• Identifies and reports safety hazards, theft, and security concerns to management and/or Asset Protection
• Operates store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department
• Communicates all stock and product information to customers, while responding knowledgeably to customer and employee questions
• Follows Lowe’s safety policies and procedures, including proper use of power equipment
• Performs additional duties as assigned
