Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations at a rural summer camp. You will supervise prep, production, and staff, ensuring allergen safety compliance and top-tier meal service in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in role requires strong leadership and hands-on cooking in a scratch-kitchen environment, with a demanding schedule that includes 6 days per week and 70+ hours. Competitive seasonal compensation offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; manage operations flow and portion control.
• Ensure allergen safety and health department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
