Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. This on-site, live-in position oversees all prep and production for the day part, manages staff, and ensures strict allergen safety protocols while delivering high-quality, scratch-cooked meals.

You will lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced camp setting, handling inventory, budgeting support, and liaison work between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.

Qualifications

2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities; able to adapt to a rustic on-site setting.

Responsibilities

Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure timely meal service.
Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
Maintain allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory and support daily reporting; liaise with camp leadership and campers.
