Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations at our rural, on-site summer camps. This hands-on role covers prep and production for designated day parts, staff management, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

This on-site, live-in position requires readiness to thrive under pressure, with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week and focus on scratch cooking and menu execution.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure timely meal service.
• Lead and train kitchen staff; maintain a high-energy, positive environment.
• Strict allergen safety compliance (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.).
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
