Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site summer camp operations. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced camp kitchen.

This seasonal, live-in position requires a minimum 6-day/70-hour week, with room and board provided. Embrace a dynamic team and contribute to outstanding camper dining experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day parts and ensure timely meal service.
• Maintain allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
