Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to oversee all prep and production for designated day parts at a fast-paced, live-in summer camp setting. You will manage staff, maintain allergen safety, and ensure top-quality, scratch cooking while staying compliant with health standards.

This on-site, exempt position requires leadership, hands-on cooking skills, and a willingness to live on-site at rustic camp facilities with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, May–Sept.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
