Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at rustic, on-site summer camp facilities across the US.

You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety and sanitation protocols in a high-volume environment. This is a live-in, full-time seasonal position with a minimum 6‑day/70‑hour work week and travel support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure menu specs and scratch cooking.
• Manage allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitize to Health Department standards.
• Handle inventory, daily reporting, and budget support.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
