Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp.

This on-site, live-in position oversees all prep and production for designated day parts, staff management, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in kitchen leadership, ServSafe Allergens certification, and a willingness to live on-site in rustic conditions with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored
• Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary flow, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking execution.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership
