Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor a group of 8-13 students, and support their academic, emotional, and social development.

As a two-person role, both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and be at least 27. The position includes housing, meals on duty, health benefits, and paid training, with a nine-on/three-off schedule to begin.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
