Job summary

Wolfoods is hiring an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage a team of kitchen staff, and ensure strict allergen safety and sanitation standards on-site.

This is a live-in, on-site position at rural facilities across the US, with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week schedule and travel allowances. Competitive pay plus bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• Strong knowledge of allergen protocols and safety standards.
• Experience with inventory, reporting, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff to ensure high-energy, efficient operations.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, and meal service for designated day parts.
• Strict allergen management and safety compliance per health standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting and budgeting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
