Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You’ll oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety in a fast-paced setting.

This on-site, live-in position runs May–Sept with a 6-day/70-hour week. Competitive pay plus bonus, room & board provided, and travel allowance are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Manage food allergy protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
