Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on, on-site leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This live-in, seasonal contract runs May through September, with a split schedule of full-time exempt work and a demanding 6-day/70-hour week. Competitive pay, bonus potential, and room & board are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow: prep, portion control, scratch cooking, and timely meals.
• Strict allergen safety and top sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
