Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for an on-site, live-in role at a rural summer camp. You will lead kitchen staff, oversee prep and production for designated day parts, ensure allergen safety, and maintain high sanitation standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This seasonal contract (May–Sept) offers competitive pay, a bonus opportunity, and full room & board. You will work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week and collaborate closely with camp leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety compliance and Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
