Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural, on-site summer camp operations across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for your day part, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The position is seasonal (May–Sept), full-time, exempt, with live-in accommodations, competitive pay, a performance bonus, and travel allowances. You’ll thrive under pressure in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, ability to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, able to identify all Big 9 Allergens, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
