Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for an on-site, live-in role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and oversee allergen safety in a high-volume environment.

This full-time seasonal contract runs May–Sept. Expect leadership of a fast-paced kitchen, with room and board provided, competitive pay, a bonus structure, and travel allowances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
