Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead a hands-on team at rural US summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in role requires a minimum 6-day/70-hour week, with competitive pay, bonus potential, and full room & board provided, along with travel allowance for the season.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities; able to navigate iPad.
• Stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs in a hot/cold kitchen.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work 6 days/70+ hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff to foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, menu specs, and timely service.
• Strictly manage allergen safety protocols and maintain top sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
