Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site rural summer camp facilities across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety and quality in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This seasonal contract runs May through September, with full-time, exempt scheduling of 6 days per week and 70 hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day parts; ensure timely meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
