Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp locations across the United States. This on-site, live-in position oversees all prep and production for designated day parts, staff management, and strict allergen safety protocols in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Starting as a seasonal contract (May–Sept), the role requires a minimum 6-day/70-hour week, with competitive pay, a performance bonus, room & board, and travel

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, able to identify all Big 9 Allergens, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
