Job summary

Encore Global in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead floor operations, oversee the technical team, and support onsite services for events. This role focuses on customer service, staff leadership, and efficient event execution within a hotel/convention setting.

The position requires AV experience and a customer-service background, with opportunities for training, advancement, and interaction with venue management. On-site responsibilities and occasional travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of audio-visual experience required.
• External applicants must meet all training and certifications within 60 days.
• Internal applicants must meet training/certification requirements per internal program.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Organizes the daily floor activities to ensure timely setup, refresh and removal of equipment.
• Directs technicians and suggests operational efficiencies to venue management and Workforce.
• Keeps flowsheets updated and properly completed.
• Establishes coordinated communications for events management.
• Attends venue meetings as needed (e.g., daily banquet event order meetings).
• Provide excellent service and uphold Encore’s standards with clients on-site.
• Meet with guests to ensure needs are met and equipment works properly.
• Mentor new hires and reinforce a positive working environment.
