Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is hiring a Line Cook to prepare foods for guests across the venue. You will work on stations such as buffet lines, slicing meats, and assembling dishes, with a focus on timely, high-quality service.

The role involves frequent public contact and flexibility to work events as scheduled. Hourly pay ranges from $23.00 to $26.00, with full-time benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment, including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like manner.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
• ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food for guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as a team with specific responsibilities for preparation, service, and delivery of product.
• Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance as required by the company.
