Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Line Cook to prepare foods for guests at our venue. The role involves direct guest contact in areas like buffet lines and stations. The Line Cook will ensure timely service, maintain attendance, and be available for events as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience preferred.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment (broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, chef knife).
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
• ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food to guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as part of a team with duties related to preparation and delivery of food.
• Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive/Sous Chef to plan menus and estimate consumption.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and meet company standards.
