Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Line Cook to prepare foods for guests across our venue, with direct guest contact in buffet lines and order prep. Hours are part-time, requiring flexibility for events, and attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment, including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
• Clear, business-like and respectful communication with staff and guests.
• Team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment experience.
• Valid food handling certificate if required by state/federal regulations.
• ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests.
• Prepares hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements.
• Participates as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and delivery of product.
• Reports any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
• Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observes and tests foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portions, arranges, and garnishes food plates for delivery to guests.
• Consults with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption.
• Demonstrates attendance consistency and reliability.
