Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring complete guest satisfaction. The role reports to the Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology.

The Technician duties include accurate equipment setup, on-site guest interaction, and prompt troubleshooting of AV and software issues to maintain flawless events. A valid driver’s license and at least one year in hospitality or AV are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must meet training and certification requirements within 60 days.
• Internal applicants must meet Encore's training/certification requirements.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for roles that may operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic AV equipment to ensure flawless events.
• Meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment works properly.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or software issues in a timely manner.
• Enter orders and invoicing information accurately in Navigator and related systems.
