Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal assistant experience supporting litigators in civil defense in a high-volume environment.
• State and federal court filing including E-Filing experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and independent working ability.

Responsibilities

• Filing and circulation of pleadings in state and federal court.
• Maintain docketing for attorneys and assist with deadlines.
• Provide administrative support including processing invoices and scheduling depositions.
• Open new files by collecting information from clients and initiating file creation.
• Assist in managing attorney schedules and travel arrangements.
• Prepare correspondence and other written documents under attorney direction.
• Handle subpoenas and other information requests; track and disposition.
• Ensure organization and maintenance of files; monitor escalation issues.
