Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a paralegal supporting attorneys in civil litigation.
• Familiarity with Kentucky court procedures and state e‑filing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal document management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial or settlement.
• Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Manage case files (electronic and hard copy) and maintain document organization throughout the life of each matter.
• Coordinate deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings, and maintain attorney calendars.
• Assist with subpoena tracking, medical record collection, and communication with experts and third parties.
• Prepare exhibits and organize materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Perform factual and basic legal research under attorney supervision.
• Support attorneys with time entry, billing, and file management.
• Communicate with clients, court staff, experts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner.
• Provide overflow administrative support as needed.
