Job summary

Orion Placement in Reno, NV seeks a licensed attorney to join our national litigation defense team. Represent clients from inception through trial, draft pleadings and motions, perform legal research, and collaborate with senior attorneys for strategy.

Candidates must have a JD, be admitted to the Nevada State Bar, and at least 1 year of litigation experience. Medical malpractice or healthcare defense experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Nevada State Bar membership.
• 1+ year of litigation experience.
• Strong understanding of Nevada and Federal court rules.
• Excellent research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients through all phases of litigation from case inception through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategy.
• Manage case files while maintaining excellent client communication.
• Contribute to business development and help build strong client relationships.

Location:Reno, Nevada | Full-time | On-site in a collaborative office environment where you'll work closely with experienced trial attorneys and gain valuable courtroom exposure.

Note:Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Nevada and have 1+ years of litigation experience. Experience in defense litigation, medical malpractice, or healthcare law is highly preferred but not required.
