Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises seeks a lineman helper to assist with installation or repair of cables for electrical power systems in accordance with plans and codes. You may erect poles and transmission towers and operate hand and power tools under supervision.

Preferred candidates hold NCCER Construction Craft Laborer credentials, NCCER Core or equivalent craft training, and have documented lineman apprenticeship hours. Safety-focused, able to work long shifts outdoors.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include NCCER Construction Craft Laborer credential.
• NCCER Core Curriculum or equivalent Craft Training Program required.
• 4000 documented hours and DOL apprenticeship participation.

Responsibilities

• Assist lineman in installing or repairing cables or wires per plans and codes.
• Erect poles and light or heavy‑duty transmission towers as needed.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble and splice conductors.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment and travel to job sites.
