Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises seeks a laborer to support linemen in installing and repairing cables and wires for electrical Power distribution systems. Follow plans, specifications, and safety standards; may erect poles and towers.

Assist with hand and power tools, climb poles, and travel to job sites. Adhere to safety practices, coordinate with crew, and contribute to efficient completion of tasks.

Qualifications

• 1000 proven hours working as a lineman or helper.
• Developing knowledge of installation or repair of cables or wires in electrical power distribution systems and transmission towers/lines.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, install, test or repair cables or wires.
• Help install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment.
• Drive vehicles to job sites and travel to inspect lines for insulation.
