Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises seeks a lineman helper to assist in installing or repairing cables and wires for electrical power distribution. You may erect poles and light or heavy-duty transmission towers, working with crews to meet project plans and safety standards.

Requirements include 4000 documented hours, NCCER credentials, and the ability to work extended shifts in outdoor conditions. This is a non-union craft opportunity with full safety training provided.

Qualifications

• 4000 documented hours and proven DOL approved lineman apprenticeship participation.
• Working knowledge of the lineman craft and associated safety practices.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation or repair of cables and wires per plans and specs.
• Climb poles or use bucket-equipped vehicles to access equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools to install, test, and repair components.
• Identify hazards and follow safety procedures to minimize risk.
• Coordinate with other workers to complete tasks on time.
