Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises is seeking an experienced Laborer to support field crews installing and repairing cables and wires for electrical power and distribution systems. The role involves climbing poles, operating hand and power tools, and traveling to job sites with the crew to ensure safe, quality work.

The position requires completion of NCCER credentials, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work long shifts in varying temperatures and conditions.

Qualifications

• Safety-aware in construction environments and able to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools to install, repair, or maintain cables and lines.
• Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems and compliance with plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, install, test or repair cables and wires.
• Assist in installing and maintaining electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment and perform tasks.
• Travel with crew to job sites and inspect lines for safe operation.
