Job summary

Ascension Coffee in Frisco, TX is seeking a Line Cook to join a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will prepare menu items, set up and stock stations, and maintain cleanliness to support the BOH team.

The role requires 3 years of line or prep cook experience, strong cooking methods and teamwork. You must be able to work 8-hour shifts and obtain a Food Handler’s certificate if needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed to meet 8-minute ticket times.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to work 8-hour shifts.
• Must have a Food Handler’s certificate or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to company specifications (build sheets & recipes).

• Adhere to Kitchen Manager and General Manager’s instructions.
• Maintain a sanitary work area.

• Re-stock station before completing shift, and prep for subsequent shift.
• Adhere to Kitchen Manager and General Manager’s instructions.
• Maintain a sanitary work area.
• Ensure that food comes out to spec consistently and under an 8 minute ticket time.

• 3 year of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high volume or fast casual restaurant.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing menu items (under 8 minute ticket times).
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts or longer.

Must either have a valid Food Handler’s certificate or be willing to take the test to receive one
