Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality Group seeks a seasoned Pelican Landing Cook II to join Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale. You will play a key role in delivering authentic culinary experiences in a high-volume environment.

You will report to the Sous Chef and support the culinary team, with duties ranging from meal preparation to ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The role requires passion for culinary arts and strong service orientation.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Must have a technical, trade or vocational school degree or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
• Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
• Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
