Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a well-rounded Pelican Landing Cook II to join our culinary team. You will be integral in crafting distinctive and authentic experiences for guests in a high-volume resort kitchen.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will support the culinary department with a passion for culinary arts and a service-oriented attitude, ensuring quality and consistency across all stations.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Must have a technical, trade or vocational school degree or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
• Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
