Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeks a well-rounded Pelican Landing Cook I to join our culinary team. You will support the kitchen under the Sous Chef in a high-volume environment, preparing and cooking foods to recipes, ensuring proper portions and presentation, and maintaining clean areas.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of related experience and a technical or vocational background.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Must have a technical, trade or vocational school degree or experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Inform Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out of stock items.
• Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of food.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
