Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort, part of CoralTree Hospitality Group, in Fort Lauderdale seeks a seasoned Cook II to join a high-volume culinary team. You will craft distinct culinary experiences, support the team, and ensure exceptional service for guests and residents.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, the role emphasizes passion for culinary arts, accuracy, and a service-oriented attitude while maintaining safety and quality standards in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of related work experience.
• Must have a technical, trade or vocational school degree or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock items.
