Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality is seeking a well-rounded Pelican Landing Cook I to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team in Fort Lauderdale. You will be an integral member of the culinary department, supporting high-volume service and delivering authentic experiences for guests and residents.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will prepare and cook food to recipes, standards, and checklists, while maintaining cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Must have a technical, trade or vocational school degree or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
