Job summary

Sugar Bowl Resort is seeking an experienced Advanced Line Cook to own station execution and drive menu production across our food service outlets. You’ll bring technique and speed to the line, mentoring newer team members and working with independence during busy services.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in food and beverage operations.
  • Advanced knife skills, with speed and precision under pressure.
  • Strong working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations.
  • Strong knowledge of proper sanitation procedures.
  • Comfortable running a station independently during high-volume service.
  • Mentor and guide newer cooks on technique and pace.

Responsibilities

  • Own a station and independently execute menu items to Sugar Bowl’s standard.
  • Stock and rotate food deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Execute proper food production, storage, and holding techniques.
  • Ensure all necessary food prep tasks are completed before service.
  • Mentor and support newer cooks on technique, pace, and station setup.
  • Maintain rapport with front of house and other departments.
  • Execute special events when necessary.
  • Assist with end-of-shift cleaning and shutdown procedures.
  • Cross-train and lend a hand in other departments as needed.

Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for an experienced Advanced Line Cook to own station execution and help drive the production of menu items across our food service outlets. You’ll bring real technique and speed to the line, working with more independence than an entry-level cook while helping mentor newer team members along the way. This role calls for solid culinary fundamentals, a sharp eye for consistency, and the ability to keep your head (and your station) together during a packed service. Who You Are:

What You’ll do:
  • Maintain prompt attendance for all shift duties
  • Own a station and independently execute menu items to Sugar Bowl’s standard
  • Stock and rotate food deliveries
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all timesli>
  • Execute proper food production, storage, and holding techniques
  • Ensure all necessary food prep tasks are completed before service
  • Mentor and support newer cooks on technique, pace, and station setup
  • Maintain proper rapport with front of house, other departments, and guests
  • Execute special events when necessary
  • Maintain proper conduct and grooming standards at all times
  • Assist with end-of-shift cleaning and shutdown procedures
  • Assist with setup and operation of outside/satellite food service operations
  • Cross-train and lend a hand in other departments as needed, building a broader understanding of resort operations
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing for extended periods throughout a shift
  • Comfortable working near heat, open flames, and hot equipment
  • Manual dexterity for knife work, plating, and operating kitchen equipment
  • Sufficient visual acuity to maintain consistent, high-quality plate presentation under time pressure
  • Sufficient auditory acuity to communicate clearly in a loud kitchen environment
  • Comfortable lifting and carrying food deliveries and supplies up to 50 lbs
