Job description

3 Part Time & 3 Full Time Positions Available

Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for an experienced Advanced Line Cook to own station execution and help drive the production of menu items across our food service outlets. You’ll bring real technique and speed to the line, working with more independence than an entry-level cook while helping mentor newer team members along the way. This role calls for solid culinary fundamentals, a sharp eye for consistency, and the ability to keep your head (and your station) together during a packed service. If you’re ready to take the next step in your culinary career and want to be part of a kitchen that takes pride in getting it right, we’d love to have you on our line.

Why Sugar Bowl?

Sugar Bowl Resort has been proudly independent for over 80 years and is one of the oldest ski resorts in California. Situated atop beautiful Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl has a storied past with ties to Austrian ski culture, Hollywood and Walt Disney. This special community helped bring skiing to “sunny California” since December 1939. Since then, it continues to attract adventurous winter sports enthusiasts alike.

Who You Are

  • Advanced knife skills, with speed and precision under pressure
  • Strong working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations
  • Strong knowledge of proper sanitation procedures
  • Comfortable running a station independently during high-volume service
  • A natural mentor, comfortable guiding newer cooks through technique and pace

  • Committed to consistency and quality on every single plate
  • Treats teammates and guests with kindness and professionalism at all times
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for a resort operating schedule
