Job summary

Trapper’s Sushi Enumclaw is seeking a dependable Line Cook to join a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. You will prepare menu items from established recipes, maintain a clean workstation, and uphold food-safety standards while collaborating closely with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams.

We offer $18.50/hr plus tips, medical insurance after 60 days, a 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for advancement in a growing restaurant group.

Qualifications

• 1 year line cook or kitchen experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in a high-volume environment
• Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented mindset
• Valid Washington State Food Worker Card required prior to first day of work
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health regulations
• Follow proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation procedures using FIFO
• Support efficient kitchen operations by coordinating with BOH during peak service
• Assist with food preparation, restocking, and opening/closing duties as assigned
• Communicate clearly with BOH and FOH to ensure smooth service flow
• Monitor food quality and report issues or shortages to kitchen leadership
• Adhere to safety standards, including knife safety and sanitation practices
• Maintain a positive, team-first attitude and contribute to a respectful kitchen culture
