Job summary

TRAPPER’S SUSHI INC PUYALLUP is hiring a dependable Line Cook to support a fast-paced kitchen. You will follow established recipes, maintain a clean work area, and coordinate with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service and high-quality plates.

Req: 1 year line cook experience preferred, valid WA Food Worker Card, ability to work evenings/weekends, and a team-first attitude. Compensation starts at $20.25/hr plus tips.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of line cook or kitchen experience preferred; training possible.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in a high-volume setting.
• Reliable attendance and a team-oriented mindset.
• Valid Washington State Food Worker Card prior to first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation per health regs.
• Follow FIFO procedures for food handling, labeling, and storage.
• Coordinate with BOH to support efficient peak-service operations.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and daily prep tasks.
• Communicate clearly with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service.
• Monitor food quality and report issues to kitchen leadership.
• Adhere to safety standards including knife handling and sanitation.
