Job summary

Grande Shores Resort is seeking a Line Cook to prepare meals according to recipes and presentation standards. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and timely execution of dietary requests from guests.

The position requires standing for long periods, adherence to health guidelines, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. An hourly wage of $16.00/hour is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cooking staff experience.
• Familiar with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• ServeSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare meals to presentation guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate food inventories and rotate stock.
• Set up, restock, and maintain clean food preparation areas.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work space in accordance with health guidelines.

Job Description -

The cook will make meals following recipes, prep ingredients,and maintain a clean workspace at all times to follow health and safetyguidelines. The ideal candidate will ensure that any dietary restrictionrequests from guests are fully executed in a timely manner. The cook willproduce meals in their required portions and presentation guidelines. Hourly Wage: $16.00/hour

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure that all safetyguidelines for the kitchen are being followed
• Operate cooking equipmentaccordingly
• Follow recipes includingmeasuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
• Ensure that dishes arepresentable
• Maintain a clean work area
• Maintain food safety andsanitation standards
• Set up, restock, and maintainclean food preparation areas.
• Maintain accurate foodinventories
• Properly store food items atappropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items as perestablished procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience as cookingstaff (minimum 1 year)
• Be familiar with food andsafety sanitation guidelines
• Able to be on your feet for longperiods of time
• Wear the correct attire for akitchen environment, as required by supervisor
• Available to work a flexibleschedule including weekends and holidays.
• ServeSafe certification is aplus
