Job summary

Avista Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking a Line Cook to prepare meals per recipes, prep ingredients, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The ideal candidate will handle dietary requests promptly and ensure proper portioning and presentation.

AM and PM shifts available; this is a full-time position. Candidates should have at least 1 year cooking experience and be able to stand for long periods. ServSafe is a plus but not required, and weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Familiar with food safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Wear correct kitchen attire as required by supervisor.

• Set up, restock, and maintain clean food preparation areas

Line Cook - Avista Resort

Job Description: The cook will make meals following recipes, prep ingredients, and maintain a clean workspace at all times to follow health and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will ensure that any dietary restriction requests from guests are fully executed in a timely manner. The cook will produce meals in their required portions and presentation guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cooking staff (minimum 1 year)
• Be familiar with food and safety sanitation guidelines
• Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Wear the correct attire for a kitchen environment, as required by the supervisor
• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Serve Safe certification is not required but is a plus
