Job summary

Avista Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking a Line Cook to prepare meals per recipes, prep ingredients, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The ideal candidate will handle dietary requests promptly and ensure proper portioning and presentation.

AM and PM shifts available; this is a full-time position. Candidates should have at least 1 year cooking experience and be able to stand for long periods. ServSafe is a plus but not required, and weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cooking experience.
• Familiar with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Wear correct kitchen attire as required by supervisor.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• ServSafe certification not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all safety guidelines for the kitchen are being followed
• Operate cooking equipment accordingly
• Follow recipes including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
• Ensure that dishes are presentable
• Maintain a clean work area
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Set up, restock, and maintain clean food preparation areas
• Maintain accurate food inventories
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures
