Job summary

Grande Shores Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Line Cook to prepare meals according to recipes, prep ingredients, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. You will ensure dietary requests are executed promptly and portions/presentation meet guidelines.

Hourly wage: $16.00/hour. Responsibilities include following safety guidelines, operating kitchen equipment, measuring and blending ingredients, presenting dishes, stocking prep areas, maintaining inventories, and storing items at correct

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cooking staff experience.
• Familiar with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Wear the correct attire for a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety guidelines in the kitchen.
• Operate cooking equipment according to recipes.
• Follow recipes with precise measurement and mixing of ingredients.
• Ensure dishes are presentable and meet presentation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Set up, restock, and maintain clean prep areas.
• Maintain accurate food inventories.
• Store food items at proper temperatures.
• Rotate stock items as per procedures.

Job Description -

The cook will make meals following recipes, prep ingredients,and maintain a clean workspace at all times to follow health and safetyguidelines. The ideal candidate will ensure that any dietary restrictionrequests from guests are fully executed in a timely manner. The cook willproduce meals in their required portions and presentation guidelines. Hourly Wage: $16.00/hour

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure that all safetyguidelines for the kitchen are being followed
• Operate cooking equipmentaccordingly
• Follow recipes includingmeasuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
• Ensure that dishes arepresentable
• Maintain a clean work area
• Maintain food safety andsanitation standards
• Set up, restock, and maintainclean food preparation areas.
• Maintain accurate foodinventories
• Properly store food items atappropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items as perestablished procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience as cookingstaff (minimum 1 year)
• Be familiar with food andsafety sanitation guidelines
• Able to be on your feet for longperiods of time
• Wear the correct attire for akitchen environment, as required by supervisor
• Available to work a flexibleschedule including weekends and holidays.
• ServeSafe certification is aplus
