Job summary

M Crowd Restaurant Group is seeking a Cook to accurately prepare and cook meat, fish, vegetables, and other hot dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. You will ensure proper portioning, plate presentation, and adherence to brand standards across all menu items.

Responsibilities include following the daily prep list, maintaining a clean workstation, and assisting with closing duties. 18+ years old, willingness to learn, and ability to work with managers and kitchen staff are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Some experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Refer to Daily Prep List for assigned duties.
• Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other equipment.
• Assume responsibility for quality of products served.
• Maintain standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food at line stations.
• Portion food products prior to cooking.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
• Prepare items for various cooking methods.
• Follow plate presentation and garnish setup.
• Rotate and store products per standards.
• Assist in off-peak food prep and closing duties.
• Attend meetings and suggest improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef, manager or director.
