Job summary

J. Alexander's Restaurant is seeking a Line Cook to join a professional, fast-paced kitchen delivering scratch-made American cuisine. You will work in an open-kitchen setting, coordinating with expo and management to ensure high-quality plates and timely service.

Responsibilities include managing protein orders, maintaining proper temps, sanitation, and assisting with opening and closing duties. Flexible to work various shifts in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to operate kitchen equipment.
• 1 year of kitchen/culinary/chef experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with kitchen equipment including knives, slicer, mixer, stoves and ovens.

Responsibilities

• Manage ticket orders for proteins and coordinate food preparation.
• Ensure proper food temperatures and adherence to company specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized station; follow sanitation protocols.
• Handle opening duties and closing cleaning responsibilities.
