J. Alexander's Restaurant is seeking a Line Cook to join its fast-paced scratch kitchen in a contemporary American dining setting with an open kitchen. You will focus on presentation and proper temperatures while coordinating with teammates to ensure timely, high-quality meals.

The role requires 18+ to operate equipment; 1 year of kitchen experience is preferred but not required. Flexible shifts and strong teamwork are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.
• 1 yr. previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens required.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Our restaurants operate professional, fast-paced, scratch kitchens.
• We hire line and prep cooks who understand high expectations for food presentation and execution.
• Coordinate with assembler, expo, and management to manage ticket orders for proteins and ensure proper food temps.
• Maintain a clean station and workspace; follow sanitation protocols.
• Opening duties and closing cleaning duties.
