Job summary

J. Alexander's Restaurant is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to work in a contemporary American kitchen renowned for scratch-made, wood-fired cuisine. You will contribute to high-quality plating, proper food temperatures, and consistent service in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include line and prep work, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with expo and management to meet guest expectations. Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities are available as part of a strong hospitality

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.
• 1 yr. previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens required.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate line and prep stations in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ensure proper food temperatures and presentation according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain sanitation and a clean, organized workstation.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and daily prep tasks.
• Coordinate with expo and management to ensure timely service.
